neat voice is a speaking valve designed to allow patients wearing a tracheal cannula to speak normally.
During exhalation, the air around the tracheostomy tube passes through the voice box and throat(Larynx and pharynx) to the mouth and nasal cavity. When passing through the vocal cords, speech(Phonation) is made possible.
